Full job description

About Us

Corner Health is an innovative, mission-driven company on a journey to transform primary care. We are an all-in-one practice operations platform that empowers Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to launch and grow their own independent primary care practices. By providing everything from a free electronic health record (EHR) and billing services to insurance credentialing and practice marketing support, we enable NPs to focus on what matters most – delivering excellent patient care. Our mission is to make quality primary care accessible to everyone by putting a trusted provider “just around the corner.”

About the Role

We’re looking for a Part-Time Medical Director to join our team as a strategic clinical advisor. In this remote role (approximately 10–20 hours per week), you will help shape the clinical vision and standards of Corner Health’s NP-led primary care model. This is not a traditional supervisory position – instead, you’ll act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to our core team. You will work cross-functionally with teams across the company (operations, payor relations, product, clinical support) to ensure our care model is effective, patient-centered, and forward-thinking, and communicating this care model effectively to external parties (payors, partners, etc).

What You’re Like

You are a people-focused, energetic clinician who is passionate about reinventing primary care. The ideal candidate for this role has the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Clinically Experienced: You are a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner with 5+ years of primary care experience. You have a strong clinical foundation and understanding of high-quality primary care delivery.
  • Excellent Communicator: You can articulate clinical concepts and the value of new care models clearly to diverse audiences – from frontline NPs and physicians to health plan executives and other payors. You’re comfortable speaking up as a thought leader and educating others about innovative care approaches.
  • Collaborative & Organized: You enjoy working cross-functionally and can partner effectively with non-clinical teams (operations, product, etc.) to get things done. You have experience contributing to or developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) or clinical guidelines, and you bring a structured, quality-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Innovative Mindset: You stay up-to-date on emerging healthcare and wellness trends. Terms like functional medicine and longevity-focused care pique your interest – you’re curious about new modalities and open to exploring evidence-based innovations to enhance patient wellness.
  • Adaptable & Flexible: You thrive in a startup or growth-stage environment. You’re self-directed and can effectively manage a part-time schedule, working ~10–20 hours per week remotely. You appreciate the flexibility of the role and use your time efficiently to maximize impact.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will wear many hats as a clinical advisor and ambassador for Corner Health. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Champion Corner Health’s Care Model: Clearly communicate and advocate for the clinical efficacy and value of our NP-led primary care model to various stakeholders, including partner providers and insurance payors. You’ll help tell the story of why our approach leads to better outcomes and patient satisfaction.
  • Develop Clinical SOPs & Best Practices: Work closely with our team to create and refine standard operating procedures and clinical protocols that ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across all Corner Health affiliated practices. Your insights will help standardize care processes while allowing NPs to practice to the top of their license.
  • Innovate in Wellness & Longevity: Research and advise on innovative wellness modalities and preventive care strategies. Whether it’s incorporating principles of functional medicine, longevity medicine, or other integrative health approaches, you will evaluate their merits and guide how we can thoughtfully integrate effective practices into our care model.
  • Guide Platform & Content Development: Collaborate with our product and content teams to inform the development of Corner Health’s technology platform and clinical content library. You’ll ensure our platform features and educational materials are clinically sound, user-friendly for NPs, and aligned with current evidence-based guidelines.
