As an experienced Psychiatric NP, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive mental health care to patients. Your expertise will contribute to the well-being of individuals struggling with psychiatric disorders. 1. Assessment and Diagnosis:
○ Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including mental health history, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
○ Formulate differential diagnoses based on assessment findings.
○ Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses.
2. Treatment Planning and Implementation:
○ Develop evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
○ Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
○ Provide psychotherapy, counseling, and crisis intervention.
○ Monitor treatment progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
3. Patient Education and Support:
○ Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
○ Foster a therapeutic alliance by actively listening, empathizing, and addressing patient concerns.
○ Promote self-care and empower patients to actively participate in their treatment journey.
4. Collaboration and Consultation:
○ Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other team members.
○ Participate in case conferences, treatment planning meetings, and interdisciplinary rounds.
○ Provide consultation to primary care providers regarding mental health issues.
5. Documentation and Compliance:
○ Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR).
○ Adhere to legal and ethical standards, including informed consent and confidentiality.
○ Stay informed about current psychiatric guidelines and best practices.
6. Quality Improvement and Research:
○ Engage in continuous professional development.
○ Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the practice.
○ Participate in research projects related to mental health.

Pay: $130,745.00 – $196,199.00 per year
