Position Summary:
We are seeking engaging Health & Wellness Guides with a background in healthcare (nursing, physician assistants, public health, nutritionists, etc.) who are enthusiastic about educating older adults on a wide range of health and wellness and preventive care topics. Guides will deliver live, interactive and pre-recorded classes that promote healthy living, prevention strategies, and holistic wellness tailored to the unique needs of older adults.

Responsibilities:

• Lead live, virtual classes on healthy aging, nutrition, chronic disease management, mental health, preventive care, and general wellness.
• Present health information into clear, relatable, and actionable education for older adult learners.
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive virtual classroom environment.
• Adapt class content based on feedback, evolving health trends
• Collaborate with the GetSetUp team to continuously improve learner experiences.
• Attend periodic training and team meetings to enhance teaching skills and platform knowledge.

Preferred Background:

We welcome candidates from a variety of healthcare and wellness fields including:

• Registered Nurses (RN, BSN) — particularly with experience in health education, wellness, or geriatrics.
• Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) — with expertise in adult, family, or geriatric health.
• Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) — skilled in designing and delivering health programs.
• Public Health Professionals (MPH, CPH) — experienced in preventive care and wellness promotion.
• Registered Dietitians (RD, NDTR) — specializing in nutrition education and chronic disease prevention.
• Licensed Physical Therapists (DPT, PT) — with expertise in mobility, balance, and exercise for older adults.
• Occupational Therapists (OTR/L) — with experience supporting healthy, independent living.
• Community Health Workers (CHW) — trained in accessible, culturally appropriate health education.
• Professionals with a Certificate in Gerontology — knowledgeable about

• Strong teaching and presentation skills
• Ability to simplify complex health information
• Excellent communication, patience, and empathy
• Comfort with virtual teaching and interactive technology

Technical Requirements:

• High-speed, reliable internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps upload/download)
• Experience using Zoom as a host/instructor (screen sharing, polls, chat management)
• Proficiency with basic computer skills (email, web navigation, file sharing, slide development)
• A modern computer (desktop or laptop) capable of running video conferencing tools smoothly
• Professional-quality webcam and microphone (built-in or external)
• Quiet, distraction-free environment for teaching classes

Location:
Remote (US-Based)
Flexible scheduling, with a preference for daytime or early evening hours (Eastern or Pacific Time).

Compensation:
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Engagement is governed by a contractor agreement and not an employment relationship. Compensation is provided on an hourly basis for completed, scheduled classes, consistent with contractor status under applicable laws. Hourly rate for this independent contract position is commensurate with experience, starting at $25.00/hr.
