Position Summary
As a Remote Healthcare Professional at COCAS, ME Living, or King Compassion, you will play an essential role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to individuals in need. Working within a telehealth model, you will provide virtual healthcare services to underserved populations who may lack access to traditional in-person care. You will support our mission by offering medical consultations, case management, patient education, and follow-up care via secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual platforms.
This position allows you to leverage your clinical skills to provide meaningful care from a remote setting, adhering to all legal regulations governing telehealth services. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure clients receive the healthcare and support they need while contributing to the organization’s overarching goal of transforming lives.
Key ResponsibilitiesFor Registered Nurses (RN)
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments via telehealth, including health monitoring, medication management, and follow-up care for chronic conditions.
- Collaborate virtually with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and update individualized care plans.
- Offer health education on disease prevention, medication adherence, and wellness strategies to clients remotely.
- Perform tele-triage services, assessing clients’ needs and directing them to appropriate in-person or virtual resources.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date digital records in compliance with HIPAA and telehealth regulations.
- Supervise and provide guidance to remote LVNs and other healthcare staff.
For Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN)
- Assist with patient care remotely, including monitoring vital signs and providing patient education through telehealth.
- Collaborate with RNs and physicians virtually to implement care plans and ensure ongoing patient monitoring.
- Provide basic wound care guidance, medication reminders, and chronic disease management education.
- Document all patient interactions within digital platforms, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
For Doctors (MD/DO)
- Conduct virtual consultations, including diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of medical conditions through telemedicine.
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans for clients based on virtual evaluations.
- Oversee the medical care provided by RNs and LVNs, ensuring all care plans meet the needs of our client population and comply with telehealth regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and telemedicine laws.
- Provide clinical guidance and supervision to the healthcare team, helping to maintain quality and consistency in remote patient care.
Legal Considerations for Virtual Care
As a remote healthcare provider, you will work within the legal scope of telehealth services, adhering to all state and federal regulations. Key legal aspects of virtual care include:
- HIPAA Compliance: All patient information must be securely stored and transmitted via HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms.
- Licensing: You must be licensed to provide care in the state where the patient is located. Ensure compliance with any multi-state licensing requirements, particularly for RNs and doctors practicing across state lines.
- Scope of Practice: LVNs will work under the supervision of RNs or physicians, while RNs and doctors will practice independently, offering services that are legally authorized via telehealth in their respective states.
- Telemedicine Guidelines: Follow all telehealth-specific regulations regarding virtual consultations, prescribing, and patient care, which may vary by state.
QualificationsFor Registered Nurses (RN)
- Active RN license in [Insert State(s)] and eligible for multi-state licensure, if applicable.
- Experience in providing telehealth services preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and telehealth best practices.
For Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN)

- Ability to work under the supervision of an RN or physician in a virtual setting.
For Doctors (MD/DO)

- Board certification in family medicine, internal medicine, or a related field.
- Experience providing remote care and prescribing medications via telemedicine platforms.
Preferred Skills for All Positions
