As a Behavioral Health Clinician/Care Advocate you will be responsible for case management and utilization review of behavioral health and substance abuse cases. You’ll have a direct impact on the lives of our members as you recommend and manage the appropriate level of care throughout the entire treatment plan.

If you are residing in Arizona, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges. Must be able to work evenings/overnight, weekends and holidays.

Available schedules include:

  • Friday – Monday: 9:00pm to 7:30am AZ time
  • Friday:  3:00pm to 12:30am, Saturday: 10:00am to 8:30pm, Sunday: 8:00am to 7:30pm, Monday: 3:00pm to 1:30am

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Field inbound calls in a queue from members and providers for purpose of assessment and triage
  • Focus on initial inpatient admission for psychiatric and chemical dependency patients
  • Make patient assessments and determining appropriate levels of care
  • Determine if additional clinical treatment sessions are needed
  • Manage inpatient mental health cases throughout the entire treatment plan
  • Administer benefits
  • Coordinate benefits and transitions between various areas of care
  • Identify ways to add value to treatment plans and consulting with facility staff

Required Qualifications: 

  • Independent, Licensed Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage or Family Counseling, or Licensed Ph.D., or an RN with 2+ years of experience in Behavioral Health
  • Independent license must be active and unrestricted in Arizona
  • 2+ years of experience providing direct clinical care in a behavioral health treatment setting with emphasis on assessment, case management, and/or crisis intervention
  • Proficient Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Willing or ability  to work one of the available schedules:
    • Friday – Monday: 9:00pm to 7:30am AZ time
    • Friday:  3:00pm to 12:30am, Saturday: 10:00am to 8:30pm, Sunday: 8:00am to 7:30pm, Monday: 3:00pm to 1:30am
  • Ability to work training scheduled for the first 3-4 months:  Monday – Friday: 2:00pm to 10:30pm PST
  • Proven dedicated, distraction-free space in home for home office
  • Access to high-speed internet (Fiber Optic, Cable) – satellite internet is not an option
  • Arizona residence

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Inpatient experience
  • Dual diagnosis experience with mental health and substance abuse
  • Experience working in an environment that required coordination of benefits and utilization of multiple groups and resources for patient
