Remote Nurse Practitioner – Illinois

We are looking for a family or adult-geriatric nurse practitioner to do in-home patient visits in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. You will be responsible for conducting physical examinations, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic medical conditions, ordering and interpreting labs and diagnostics, ordering DME, making referrals, patient education, and overseeing patient outcomes. Primary care experience is preferred, however we can train the right candidate. Positivity, effective communication, attention to detail, and excellent customer service are vital attributes for this position. Hours are typically from 9am-5pm. This is a 1099 position that requires a minimum availability of 2 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients and their medical records
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
• Prescribe medications
• Maintain accurate records and schedule
• Inform patients about their health conditions
• Make referrals as needed
• Assess the need for DME

• Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention
• Oversee patients’ overall health
• Promote good health practices and outcomes
• Advance professional knowledge
• Must be able to complete charting/documentation on time

Skills

• Proven experience as Nurse Practitioner in a clinic, hospital, ER or other setting
• Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong ethics
• Team spirit with a positive attitude
• Patience and cool-headedness
• Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience
• Valid nurse practitioner license
• SPANISH speaking is a plus
• Must be available a minimum of 2 to 3 days a week

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN, Per diem

Pay: $55.00 – $100.00 per hour
