Job Description: 

Heva Health, a rapidly growing telemedicine wellness company specializing in functional medicine, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), and personalized health optimization, is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) with expertise in functional medicine and hormone replacement, along with a deep understanding of anti-aging treatments, weight loss, peptide medications, and gut health optimization.

As an independent contractor (1099) with Heva Health, you will provide patient-centered care in a fully virtual/work-from-home setting. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a key role in managing patient wellness and supporting the company’s mission to deliver cutting-edge, personalized healthcare solutions. The ideal candidate will hold a current NP license in one or more of the unrestricted states listed above and be willing to obtain licensure in additional states as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Evaluation and Management:
    • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including patient histories, virtual physical evaluations, and lab reviews.
    • Diagnose and manage conditions through a functional medicine approach, including hormone imbalances, adrenal fatigue, thyroid dysfunction, metabolic disorders, and gut health optimization.
    • Prescribe hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and monitor treatment plans for men and women, including bioidentical hormone therapy.
    • Implement anti-aging protocols, including hormone balancing, supplements, and lifestyle adjustments to promote longevity and wellness.
    • Develop weight management strategies, including personalized nutrition and fitness plans, peptide therapy, and metabolic optimization.
    • Provide education on peptide medications used for anti-aging, muscle growth, fat loss, and recovery.
    • Optimize gut health through diet, supplementation, and therapeutic protocols targeting digestive health and microbiome balance.
    • Provide patient education on lifestyle, nutrition, and supplementation to support health and wellness goals.
    • Develop personalized treatment plans that integrate functional medicine principles and strategies.
  • Patient Follow-Up and Monitoring:
    • Regularly assess patient progress through virtual appointments, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
    • Monitor lab results, evaluate patient outcomes, and provide continuous support through telemedicine.
    • Address patient concerns and provide guidance on medication management, hormone dosing, peptide therapies, and overall treatment effectiveness.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work collaboratively with the CEO, healthcare team, and administrative staff to support Heva Health’s mission.
    • Maintain detailed and accurate electronic patient records in compliance with legal and medical standards.
  • Compliance and Professional Development:
    • Ensure compliance with state regulations and telemedicine protocols.
    • Stay up-to-date on advances in functional medicine, hormone therapy, anti-aging treatments, weight management, and peptide therapies.
    • Actively seek and maintain licensure in required states as the company continues to expand.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Certification:
    • Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
    • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in at least one of the unrestricted states listed above, with the ability to obtain licensure in additional states.
    • Board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology NP, or in a related specialty.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in functional medicine, integrative medicine, or hormone replacement therapy.
    • Expertise in anti-aging treatments, weight management, and peptide medications.
    • Strong knowledge of hormone panels, lab interpretation, and functional medicine protocols.
    • Experience with gut health optimization, including the management of digestive issues, microbiome balance, and nutritional therapies.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions based on functional medicine principles in a virtual setting.
    • Strong communication skills with a focus on patient education and virtual engagement.
    • Experience with telemedicine platforms and providing care virtually.
    • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Licensure:
    • Must be currently licensed as an NP in at least one of the unrestricted states listed below, with willingness and ability to obtain licensure in additional states.
      • AZ, CO, DE, ID, IA, ME, MD, MT, NE, NH, NM, ND, SD, WV, WI, WY
    • DEA licensure (or ability to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Functional Medicine (e.g., Institute for Functional Medicine).
  • Experience in managing chronic conditions such as thyroid disorders, adrenal fatigue, and metabolic syndrome.
  • Expertise in anti-aging protocols, weight loss strategies, and the use of peptide medications.
  • Experience in telemedicine and virtual healthcare delivery.
