Occupational Health Nurse-COVID Response Emphasis

Occupational Nurse Position to address COVID-19 response management for a large employer in the Augusta, Georgia area that produces essential goods. The COVID Response Management position may be performed remotely allowing the Occupational Health Nurse to predominately work from home.

The OHN will be responsible for helping employees navigate time off and/or quarantine due to COVID diagnosis, exposure and/or risk. The OHN will also work to track logistics of impacted employees and aid in their transition back to work.

Successful candidates will possess the following experience:

– Nursing in an Occupational Setting

– Infectious Disease

– Case Management Including Work-Related Injury and Illness

– Medical Surveillance and Health Assessment

– Management of Medical Records

– Proficiency in Web-based Programs, including Spreadsheets

– Collaborating with Team Members

– Comprehensive Understanding of Workers Compensation, Short-Term Disability and FMLA

– Clinical Care Experience with Work-Related and Not Work-Related Medical Conditions

The ideal candidate will possess the following education and skills:

  • Current Active Compact RN License
  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing Preferred
  • Working Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Principles
  • Certification in Occupational Health Nursing Desired
  • Minimum of BLS Certification
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Detail Oriented
  • Ability to Work Independently While Adapting to An Evolving Situation

Full-time Position; 9 to 18 month duration; occasional travel may be required.

Primary schedule of Monday – Friday day time hours 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Salary: $35.00 to $45.00 /hour
