Remote Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – MD, DC, VA

Maryland, Washington Dc and Virginia

Responsibilities:
– Provide direct patient care in a psychiatric setting, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
– Administer medications and monitor their effectiveness and side effects
– Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
– Conduct therapeutic interventions and provide counseling to patients and their families
– Monitor patients for changes in behavior, mental status, and physical health
– Document patient interactions, progress, and treatment plans accurately and timely
– Participate in clinical research studies as needed

Requirements:
– Valid nursing license and certification as a Psychiatric Nurse (Maryland, Washington Dc and Virginia )
– Experience working in a psychiatric or mental health setting preferred
– Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their administration
– Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
– Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
– Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

Skills:
– Medical office: Familiarity with medical office procedures and protocols.
– Triage: Ability to assess the urgency of patient needs and prioritize care accordingly.
– Youth care: Experience providing care for toddlers in a healthcare setting is beneficial.
– Phlebotomize: Proficiency in drawing blood samples for diagnostic testing.
– Hospice/ Assisted living: Understanding of the unique needs of patients in assisted living facilities.
– Clinical research: Familiarity with conducting clinical research studies and protocols.
