Orthopedic Physician Associates (OPA), a division of Proliance Surgeons, is Seattle’s premier provider of orthopedic services. Our physicians and clinical staff work together to ensure that patients receive complete orthopedic care, whether surgical or nonsurgical, for problems or diseases of the bones, joints and muscles. OPA physicians are board certified in Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Physiatry and Anesthesiology and each has advanced subspecialty Fellowship training in Sports, Joints, Foot & Ankle, Spine and Trauma. OPA Physicians are known regionally and throughout the world as leaders in their fields. They lecture frequently, train others and develop new surgical techniques and many of the breakthrough hardware used in today’s surgeries.

Position Summary –

*Candidates must reside in the state of Washington and be available to train up to 2 weeks in our Seattle, WA office*

The primary role of the remote Surgery Scheduler is to provide clinical and administrative support to the physicians. General purpose is to triage patient phone calls, questions, and correspondence.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

· Answer medical questions on the phone, screening appointments

· Preview physician’s schedule and troubleshoot as needed

· Schedules Patient’s surgery and test scheduling

·· Prescription callbacks

· Process test results

· Serve as liaison between physician and patient

· Assist as directed by Physician/Supervisor/Administrator/Director

· Assist other Medical Assistants as needed

· Must follow all policies as outlined in Employee Handbook

Education/Experience

· Degree/current certification as an RN, LPN, ATC or MA (we will facilitate MA-R)

· 2+ years in an outpatient clinic setting (orthopedic desired)

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

· Problem solving skills

· Skill in using a computer

· Knowledge of orthopedics and trauma (desired)

· Ability to remove oneself personally from given situations, remaining objective

· Ability to exhibit cooperation, flexibility, and provide assistance when interfacing with patients, physicians and staff

· Ability to multi-task

· Skill in organizing and reporting information that is accurate and complete

· Respect for confidentiality

· Ability to prepare records in accordance with detailed instructions

· Outpatient clinic organizational ability

· Ability to work independently, with little supervision

· Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.

Pay: $21.00 – $24.00 per hour
