Cora Health is a new telehealth platform for US-based Latinos. Our goal is to provide affordable and culturally competent care with a personalized approach and interdisciplinary support. We will offer virtual weight loss consultations and prescriptions, as well as other virtual primary care services to underserved Latinos/Hispanics in the US. Cora Health is seeking a startup-friendly Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team. We are currently recruiting for a Spanish-speaking Nurse Practitioner with active licenses in at least one state (CA, FL, TX or NY are preferred, but not required).

Exact hours are to be determined but clinicians must be available to work between normal daytime hours. We’re looking to start with 5-10 hours per week and soon after increase to 20+ hours per week. Those hours will usually fall between 9am and 7pm EST M-F with some potential weekend hours. The candidate needs to be able to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week. This is an hourly contract position and fully remote.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with the community and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial intake evaluation video visits (15-30 minutes) with new patients (ages 18+)
  • Provide holistic evaluation of patient, review labs, and if appropriate, prescribe different weight loss medications (primarily GLP-1’s such as Wegovy, Trulicity, or Ozempic)
  • Work with a diverse population.
  • Log into EHR portal every 48 hours to check on requests
  • Conduct asynchronous chat responses to patient questions
  • Send in prescription refills

Requirements:

  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Actively licensed in good standing
  • (nice to have) Actively licensed in good standing in several states. CA, TX, FL, NJ, NY are preferred, and ability to practice independently in FL is also preferred.
  • Availability to work 10-20 clinical hours per week
  • Board Certified (ANP-BC or FNP-BC)
  • Background in Internal or Family Medicine
  • Experience prescribing GLP-1s or strong interest in learning
  • Comfort with technology and ability to navigate different tools (EMR, Calendly, Gmail)
  • Telemedicine or virtual care experience highly preferred
  • Willing to work in a collaborative environment and comfortable with a new startup environment.
