Remote Telehealth Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – California

Remote Part-Time Position available for CA-based Clinic.

Note: Practitioner must hold license in the state of California.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders via telehealth. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Duties

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
• Perform physical examinations and document findings in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Prescribe medications and monitor for side effects or complications.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients with complex needs.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Stay current on best practices in psychiatric care, including dementia care strategies.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and knowledge:

• Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to psychiatric care.
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing is preferred.
• Proficiency in performing remote examinations via telehealth.
• A solid foundation in patient care systems and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
