Summary of Role:

We are looking for a Full-time Telemedicine Physician Assistant (1099 contract for 60 days). Hours of operation are Sunday-Saturday 7am-12am EST. Physician Assistants examine, diagnose, and treat patients under the supervision of a physician. The Physician Assistant will provide telemedicine care to patients from a remote location.

To be considered for this role, you must be experienced in overseeing a team of Nurse Practitioners and conducting virtual visits with patients. We are seeking 3-5 years of previous management experience for this role. You will work alongside a Medical Assistant Manager and report to the Medical Director.   • Leading a team of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) while providing consultation to our patients.
  • Upholding ethical and legal standards while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
  • Conducting virtual consultations to evaluate medical histories, symptoms, and offer medical guidance.
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests like blood work or imaging.
  • Prescribing medications or suggesting treatments based on patient assessments.
  • Providing ongoing care and monitoring patient progress.
  • Accurately documenting patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Collaborating with healthcare peers, including nurses and specialists, for comprehensive patient care.
  • Staying abreast of the latest telemedicine technologies, medical practices, and guidelines.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings
  • Interview, select, and train new physicians and NP’s
  • Performance management of staff
  • Ensure staff compliance, including mandatory trainings and active licenses
  • Create policies and SOP’s that align with the business
  • Other duties may be assigned based on needs of the business

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active Physician Assistant License in multiple states (minimum 5) required
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited medical school- required
  • Five (5+) years of team leadership experience
  • At least two (2+) years working in Telemedicine/Telehealth-required
  • Training or certification for a telemedicine program is a plus! This is to ensure familiarity with the technology and protocols involved in delivering care remotely.
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare providers, even when not in the same physical location.
  • Must be comfortable using technology to communicate with patients and other healthcare providers, and must have access to a reliable internet connection and appropriate devices (such as a computer or mobile device) to deliver care remotely.
  • Must be compliant with privacy and security regulations: Telemedicine physicians must be familiar with and comply with relevant privacy and security regulations, such as HIPAA, to protect patient information and ensure the security of telemedicine platforms and software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five plus years experience in Telemedicine.
  • Experience with various Telemedicine software
