Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Utilize video conferencing to conduct virtual appointments with patients.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for mental health conditions including ADHD, anxiety, depression, binge eating disorder, and other related disorders tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Prescribe and manage medications, while educating patients on usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
  • Deliver comprehensive patient education, including information on health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Monitor patients’ progress during and after treatment and conduct follow-up appointments to assess treatment effectiveness and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and up-to-date medical records for each patient; documenting all assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans.
  • Efficient and prompt handling of task completion, prescription refills, and addressing patient inquiries.
  • Engage in collaborative efforts with fellow providers to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Report quality of care issues promptly through established mechanisms.
  • Attend relevant meetings and educational training sessions as required to stay informed about industry developments and best practices.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of telemedicine regulatory changes and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in mental health care and consistently updating and enhancing your knowledge base.
  • Fully comply with HIPAA policies and procedures to safeguard patient confidentiality and privacy.
  • Complete any additional tasks and functions as requested by the company, contributing to the overall success of our mission.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Specialized expertise in the comprehensive treatment and management of ADHD, anxiety, depression, binge eating disorder, and other related conditions in both adult and pediatric populations.
  • Demonstrated experience of a minimum of 2 years in mental healthcare or 5 years in a primary care setting, showcasing a proven track record of success.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with current mental disorder diagnostic tools, including but not limited to the DSM-5, GAD-7, PHQ-9.
  • A genuine passion for delivering accessible mental health care to diverse communities.
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology and electronic health record systems
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive and collaborative relationships with both patients and colleagues.
  • High level of flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving work environment
  • High emotional awareness and sensitivity to patients’ needs, reflecting a patient-centered approach to care.
  • Thorough understanding of state telemedicine laws and regulations to ensure compliance in the delivery of services.
  • Previous telehealth experience, highly preferred

Education/Board Certification/Licensure

  • Graduation from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program with a national certification
  • Current, unrestricted State Nurse Practitioner license and Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • DEA license(s) and state controlled substance license(s), as applicable

Location & Equipment Requirements:

  • Remote from any location in the United States
  • Must have a sterile work environment, free from external noise
  • Must have reliable internet connection
  • Must possess a desktop computer, laptop, and/or tablet to conduct video visits

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
