Coding Specialist (Home Health & Hospice)
Location: Remote (Preference for candidates located in Draper, UT; Boise, ID; Twin Falls, ID; or Coeur d’Alene, ID)

About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Coding Specialist to support both our home health and hospice operations. This role is focused on OASIS accuracy and diagnosis coding, with a strong compliance lens. You’ll work closely with clinical leadership and our Director of Compliance, and DONs to ensure documentation integrity, reimbursement accuracy, and audit readiness.

What You’ll Do

  • Review and validate OASIS assessments for accuracy, consistency, and compliance
  • Perform and/or review ICD-10-CM diagnosis coding and sequencing for home health and hospice
  • Ensure alignment between clinical documentation, OASIS data, and coded diagnoses
  • Support PDGM/payment accuracy and hospice compliance requirements
  • Identify documentation gaps, risks, or compliance concerns and provide feedback to clinical teams
  • Assist with audit readiness, ADRs, and compliance reviews
  • Collaborate with clinicians, QA, and compliance leadership to improve documentation quality
  • Stay current on Medicare regulations, OASIS guidance, and coding rules

What We’re Looking For
Required:

  • Active certifications: HCS-D, HCS-O, and COS-C
  • Strong experience with OASIS in home health
  • Demonstrated expertise in ICD-10-CM diagnosis coding
  • Experience working in home health and/or hospice
  • Strong attention to detail and compliance mindset
  • Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with distributed teams

Preferred:

  • RN license (not required, preferred)
  • Experience supporting audits, ADRs, or compliance reviews
  • Experience in multi-site or multi-state home health/hospice organizations

Pay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
