Job Summary
We are seeking highly qualified Family Nurse Practitioners (FNP) to provide comprehensive primary care services across Arizona, New Mexico, Washington, Texas, and Idaho. The ideal candidates will possess extensive clinical expertise, experience with diverse patient populations, and proficiency with various electronic health record (EHR) systems. This role offers an opportunity to deliver high-quality care in outpatient, telehealth, and post-acute settings, supporting patients of all ages with a wide range of medical needs. Candidates must demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans encompassing medication management and behavioral interventions.
  • Prescribe and administer medications such as botulinum toxin treatments, dermal fillers, injections, IV infusions, and other therapeutic modalities.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties including geriatrics, pediatrics, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and critical care.
  • Utilize advanced EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, venipuncture, catheterization, gastrostomy tube feeding management, sterile processing techniques, and airway management.
  • Engage in telehealth consultations to expand access to care for remote or underserved populations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including specialists in infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, occupational health, laboratory services, radiology imaging, and case management.
  • Participate in discharge planning, utilization review/management, health coaching sessions, and patient education initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain meticulous medical documentation for legal and billing purposes.

Requirements

  • Valid NP licensure in AZ, NM, WA, TX, or ID.
  • Certification as an FNP from an accredited program; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with Epic EMR or other EHR systems like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks.
  • Proficiency in clinical procedures including IV insertion/infusion, suturing techniques, phlebotomy/venipuncture, sterile processing methods, and airway management.
  • Experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (Level I & II trauma centers), outpatient clinics, assisted living facilities, nursing homes (including dementia & memory care), neonatal units (PICU), or post-acute care environments.
  • Knowledge of ICD-9/10 coding systems for accurate documentation and billing purposes.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacology related to acute care.
  • Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining high standards of patient safety and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient education across age groups—including children (pediatrics), toddlers (toddler care), infants (neonatal ventilator), seniors (geriatrics), and individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
