Position Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioners (NP/APNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to deliver telehealth assessments for U.S. Military service members stationed in US Virgin Islands. This remote, contract-based role offers flexibility while allowing you to make a meaningful impact on deployment readiness and overall patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct telephonic and video health assessments (PHA and PDHRA) for service members.
- Evaluate medical conditions, determine deployment fitness, and refer to physicians or Military Treatment Facilities when necessary.
- Provide patient education, explaining procedures, results, and follow-up care.
- Document all evaluations, treatments, medications, and test results accurately in medical records.
- Participate in provider audits and maintain compliance with HIPAA and SC PHA requirements.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP/APNP) license in the Virgin Islands.
- Current malpractice insurance that meets or exceeds state and contract requirements.
- Completion of HIPAA and SC PHA training (initial and ongoing via JKO).
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
