Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, provide ongoing medication management, and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include telehealth visits, monitoring treatment response and side effects, coordinating care with therapists and other healthcare professionals, and documenting clinical encounters in an electronic health record. The role also involves providing psychoeducation, supporting crisis intervention when needed, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of best practices in psychiatric and mental health care.

Qualifications

 

  • Demonstrated expertise in Mental Health Nursing and Nursing practice relevant to psychiatric settings.
  • Licensure and clinical competency as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably with psychiatric or mental health specialization.
  • Strong skills in Mental Health Care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Proficiency in Psychiatric Care, including psychopharmacology, risk assessment, and ongoing symptom management.
  • Current, active NP license and prescriptive authority in the relevant state(s), with PMHNP certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience providing care via telehealth platforms and comfort with electronic health records.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills, with a client-centered, trauma-informed approach.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a part-time caseload remotely, and maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards.
  • Prior outpatient, community mental health, or integrated behavioral health experience is beneficial.
