Remote Appeals and Denials Nurse (RN)

Requirements:

• RN
• One or more of the following certifications: CDIP, CCDS, CCS
• ICD-10 Certification or Trainer designation highly preferred
• Strong inpatient CDI experience
• Proven experience writing inpatient appeal letters
• Experience working with multiple payer types (DRG downgrade appeals)
• Strong understanding of: (1) Clinical documentation standards, (2) Coding and reimbursement guidelines, and (3) Medical necessity criteria

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with denials related to post-acute or behavioral health populations
• Familiarity with Cobius Manager (or similar systems)
• Strong written communication skills with ability to create clear, defensible, and well-structured appeal letters
