Duties
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, and hormone level assessments using laboratory and diagnostic tools.
- Develop and implement individualized hormone therapy plans, incorporating treatments such as bioidentical hormones, injectable therapies, pellets (in specific locations only), peptides, and other modalities tailored to patient needs.
- Manage medication administration and IV infusions with precision while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) using Practice Fusion for accurate documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and clinical notes.
- Provide patient education on hormone health, lifestyle modifications, and ongoing management strategies to promote long-term wellness.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical assistants and other healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in hormone therapy or endocrinology preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing hormones and Thyroid.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR system Practice Fusion; experience with CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding for documentation accuracy.
- Knowledge of pharmacology related to psychopharmacology and medication administration protocols.
- Ability to perform advanced assessments such as vital signs monitoring, physiological evaluations, laboratory specimen collection/processing, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality; experience with infection control practices is essential.
