Full job description
OUR MISSION
Radical is building an AI native cancer center to give every person access to the best possible cancer care, regardless of where they live or who they know. At the center is our AI Oncologist, trained on more than 12 million medical records from the Mayo Clinic Platform, which helps patients get answers, understand their options, and receive personalized guidance throughout treatment and beyond.
Today, thousands of patients use Radical for expert second opinions, treatment guidance, and 24/7 oncology navigation. Our model combines compassionate human support with technology that learns from millions of patient journeys, helping our clinical team understand each patient’s full story and provide the right support at the right time.
We believe AI should strengthen the relationship between patients and their care teams. By simplifying complex medical information, continuously monitoring each patient’s journey, and giving clinicians better context, our technology allows nurses and physicians to focus on what matters most: helping people through cancer.
Our long term goal is to make world class cancer care available to anyone, anywhere, and bring cancer center directly into the home. We have raised more than $20 million from Khosla Ventures, Mayo Clinic, and other leading investors. If you want to help build a more accessible, connected, and compassionate model of cancer care, we would love to meet you.
YOUR ROLE
As an Oncology Nurse Practitioner, you will provide virtual care to people navigating cancer, helping them manage symptoms, understand their care, and get timely support throughout treatment.
You will work closely with our Lead Oncology Nurse Practitioner, physicians, and nursing team. Our technology brings together patients’ medical records and highlights information that may need attention, helping you deliver informed, personalized care.
This is an hourly role for an experienced oncology NP who wants flexible work and meaningful patient relationships within a growing virtual care team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Assess and support patients
- Conduct virtual clinical intake visits, symptom assessments, and follow-up appointments.
- Evaluate urgent symptoms, treatment side effects, and changes in existing medical conditions.
- Develop evidence based care plans and determine when patients need in-person assessment, urgent care, or emergency services.
- Educate patients and caregivers about symptom management, warning signs, and next steps.
Coordinate personalized care
- Review medical records and understand each patient’s treatment history, current needs, and personal goals.
- Work with our nursing team to address clinical concerns and barriers to care.
- Coordinate with treating oncologists, primary care clinicians, and other providers.
- Complete timely documentation and ensure appropriate follow-up after patient visits.
Work as part of our clinical team
- Participate in case discussions and raise concerns promptly through established escalation pathways.
- Review AI generated insights using your own clinical judgment.
- Share feedback that helps improve our clinical tools, workflows, and patient experience.
WHAT LEADS TO SUCCESS

Relevant state licenses. You hold an active, unrestricted NP license in at least one of the following states: Florida, Texas, Arizona, Maryland, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, or New Jersey. Candidates licensed in multiple states, particularly several of these nine, are strongly preferred.
Appropriate credentials. You hold current national NP board certification appropriate to the adult population you treat and the RN and advanced practice credentials required for your work. You are willing to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
Telehealth experience. You have at least one year of telehealth experience and are comfortable building rapport, assessing symptoms, and recognizing when virtual care is insufficient.
Compassionate communication. You listen carefully, explain information clearly, and treat patients and caregivers with warmth and respect.
Reliable follow-through. You maintain accurate documentation, communicate proactively, and make sure patients know what happens next.
Comfort with technology. You are comfortable using electronic health records, video visits, messaging platforms, and new clinical tools.
A suitable remote workspace. You have reliable internet access and a private space for confidential patient care.
