Job Summary
Process virtual patients synchronously and asynchronously via company protocols. Must be capable of handling a high volume in the range of 4 synchronous and 2-4 asynchronous an hour.
If you are not licensed in the state a patient resides, you will process the patient on behalf of a physician who is licensed in that state who will review your chart and if approved sign off.
This posting is for our night shift which is 10pm-7am Fridays and/or Saturdays.
Duties
How you begin a synchronous visit will depend on your licensure. If you are not licensed in the patient state, you will not introduce yourself as their provider but rather explain that you are assisting the physician with intake information. You may then proceed as the licensed provider or the intake assistant.
- Take a detailed HPI
- Review current medications
- Review medication allergies
- Provide PMH, Family & Social History
- ROS
- Note General Appearance and any exam of affected CC if F2F
- Note your assessment and recommended treatment plan. If licensed, submit prescriptions and sign-off or if not licensed, the chart will be transferred to the licensed physician. If you are not able to sign-off, do not discuss the assessment and treatment plan directly with patient. The clinical support staff will provide discharge information following the physician’s review, assessment and discharge.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
- Familiarity with medical standards and guidelines for patient care.
- Proficient in discharge planning and coordination of care
- Experience using electronic medical record system platforms
- Ability to work remotely at a fast, efficient pace
Compensation:
- 1099
- Paid twice a month
Pay: From $60.00 per hour
