Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for patients across age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.
- Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with clinical guidelines and regulatory standards, ensuring safe and effective treatment plans.
- Develop individualized care plans that incorporate psychotherapy, medication management, and lifestyle interventions to promote mental well-being.
- Collaborate closely with primary care providers, therapists, social workers, and other specialists to coordinate holistic patient care.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Provide telehealth services to expand access to mental health care for remote or underserved populations.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in psychopharmacology, behavioral health practices, and relevant legal regulations such as HIPAA and Workers’ Compensation law.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in FL, MA, AZ, CO, WA, OR, NV, with certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Demonstrated experience in behavioral health settings with proficiency in patient assessment and medication management.
- Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems including Simple Practice, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with clinical research methodologies and evidence-based treatment modalities.
- Strong understanding of pharmacology related to psychotropic medications and psychopharmacology principles.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including children, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to patient education and case management.
