About the job
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) — Remote, Multi-State (1099 Contractor)
About the Role
Join a growing multi-state psychiatric practice as an independent contractor providing telehealth evaluations and medication management. We handle scheduling, billing, credentialing, and insurance operations so you can focus on clinical care.
Licensure Required (must hold active PMHNP-BC license in at least one)
New York, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, Massachusetts, or Rhode Island
Compensation
This is a 1099 independent contractor role, paid as a percentage of collected insurance reimbursements. Typical providers working 20-25 patient hours/week earn approximately $8,000-$12,000/month; actual earnings scale with your schedule, and you’ll receive transparent production and payment reports. As a 1099 contractor, you are responsible for maintaining your own malpractice/liability insurance. This role does not include traditional employee benefits (health insurance, PTO).
What You’ll Do
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management visits, document using our established clinical templates, bill using E/M coding guidelines, e-prescribe when clinically appropriate, and complete documentation within required turnaround times.
What You Won’t Do
Copays, insurance verification, patient billing, claims submission, scheduling, or front-desk work. Our operations team owns all of that.
Requirements
Active PMHNP-BC license in one of the states listed above; DEA registration where required for prescribing; minimum 2 years of post-certification clinical experience; comfortable practicing via telehealth; able to accurately document and code E/M services; reliable internet and a private workspace; able to commit to a minimum of 10 clinical hours/week.
What We Provide
Established patient referral flow, insurance credentialing and payer enrollment, full billing and revenue cycle management, appointment scheduling and front-desk support, a secure EHR and e-prescribing platform, and ongoing performance/production reporting.
Ideal Candidate
Patient-centered, efficient with documentation, comfortable with E/M coding, organized, and interested in growing with an expanding multi-state practice.
To Apply
We’re hiring a limited number of providers this cycle. If you’re looking for a practice that removes administrative burden and gives you full transparency into your production and pay, we’d love to hear from you.
