Role Description This contract, remote Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner role focuses on providing high-quality psychiatric care to individuals with eating disorders and related mental health concerns. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing and updating treatment plans, and prescribing and managing psychotropic medications in alignment with evidence-based practices. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will collaborate closely with therapists, dietitians, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated, person-centered care. Additional tasks include maintaining thorough documentation, participating in case consultations, supporting crisis management within scope, and contributing to a gender-affirming, weight-inclusive, and culturally responsive care environment.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner with experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or in advanced practice roles within Mental Health Care.
  • Clinical experience in Psychiatric Care of patients 10 years of age and up, including diagnostic evaluation, medication management, and ongoing monitoring of treatment response and safety.
  • Knowledge of and experience in eating disorder treatment, body image concerns, and trauma-informed, gender-affirming, weight-inclusive care.
  • Active NP license and prescriptive authority in the state of Colorado and other relevant states: New Jersey, New York, Utah, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Texas, Ohio, Washington, Florida; national certification in psychiatric-mental health (PMHNP) strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, multidisciplinary setting, with strong collaboration, time management, and documentation skills.
  • Comfort with telehealth platforms and electronic health records; adherence to privacy, safety, and ethical standards in virtual care.
  • Commitment to culturally thoughtful care and ongoing professional development in mental health and eating disorder treatment.
