Job Summary

We are a growing behavioral telehealth practice with increasing patient demand and immediate openings for both part-time and full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners. You will provide expert psychiatric assessments, medication management, and therapeutic interventions to diverse patient populations across New Mexico — all from home, on a schedule that works for you.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments via telehealth platforms, applying your expertise in clinical assessment, medical documentation, and patient care
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including psychopharmacology and therapy options, in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Manage medication administration and monitor patient responses, adjusting treatment plans as clinically indicated
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with complex needs, including behavioral health, geriatric, and palliative presentations
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently using EMR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks, maintaining compliance with NCQA standards
• Provide patient education on mental health conditions, medication management, and lifestyle modifications
• Stay current with telehealth best practices and emerging trends in psychiatric nursing

Qualifications

• Active New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification
• Active New Mexico Controlled Substance license
• Active New Mexico Medicaid provider number
• Proven experience in behavioral health, acute care, or hospital medicine; Level I Trauma Center or emergency medicine experience is a plus
• Strong working knowledge of psychopharmacology, CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, and medical documentation standards
• Familiarity with EMR and EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; telehealth experience is highly desirable
• Strong patient assessment skills with the ability to conduct thorough virtual evaluations
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or complex cases is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to case management and patient advocacy

Pay: $40.00 – $60.00 per hour
