Job title: Clinical Quality Director
Purpose/Summary: The Clinical Quality Director is responsible for driving excellence in clinical quality for the organization. This individual will work to improve clinical outcomes, patient safety, and clinical workforce compliance through robust clinical quality monitoring, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. The position requires a strong clinical background, deep understanding of healthcare quality frameworks, specifically long-term care, and effective leadership to implement scalable and data-driven improvements across healthcare operations. This role will report to the Chief Clinical Officer
Role & Core Responsibilities:
Clinical Quality Assurance & Improvement
- Lead quality assurance initiatives across clinical care programs, ensuring audits are completed to assess program standards and plans for improvement are developed and implemented according to best practice standards.
- Partner with Compliance and Clinical Education to review, develop and implement quality monitoring systems across all care delivery programs supporting compliant operations.
- Manage collaborative practice audits, physician reviews, and monthly meetings.
- Keep organization up to date on collaborative practice rules and regulations.
Clinical Analytics
- Be a subject matter expert for key performance indicator development and review in the Lumina 360 platform.
- Introduce Lumina 360 platform to internal and external partners for use and complete periodic reviews.
- Work collaboratively with the Lumina 360 team for quality assurance and implementation.
- Clinical expert for the Lumina 24-hour report, coaching and growing the auditing team.
- Support the clinical coding and managerial teams with analytics and reporting plans.
- Track clinical quality metrics, patient outcomes, and clinician performance using analytical tools.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior clinical leadership.
Collaboration & Education
- Partner with Clinical Leadership, Operations, Compliance, Product, and Technology teams to embed quality into operational workflows.
- Maintain and update clinical quality guidelines, policies, and educational materials for clinicians.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and patient-centric care delivery.

Credentials:
- Active and unrestricted state licensure in at least one state and willingness to obtain additional if requested.
- Active and unrestricted Advanced Practice Nurse, National Board certification (AANP, ANCC or AACN) OR active and unrestricted Physician’s Assistant NCCPA board certification.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Strong knowledge of clinical documentation, billing, and AMA coding guidelines.
- Long term care experience, preferably MDS or DON.
- Comprehensive knowledge of long-term care quality and survey measures.
- Proficiency with EHR systems and telehealth platforms, including Point Click Care.
- Knowledge and ability to interpret state-specific clinical practice guidelines.
- Is excited to become a member of the clinical leadership team; to coach and grow team members promoting clinical excellence
- Excellent people skills to collaborate broadly with internal and external partners
- Self-directed with the ability to practice autonomously, but functions as a member of the team
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects, people, and deadlines at one time.
Working conditions:
A designated, secure, and private home workspace is required for this remote role to ensure compliance with HIPAA and company privacy and security policies. This workspace must support confidential patient communications and prevent unauthorized access to protected health information. Typing is required, with prolonged periods of technology usage time. Periods of prolonged sitting or standing can be expected. Travel requirements could occur based on leadership needs.
Compensation: Salary $135,000 – $150,000 annually. Compensation is determined based on market range, experience, skills, education, and qualifications.
