Position: Virtual Family Nurse Practitioner

Location: Fully Remote

Contract Type: 1099

General Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team in providing urgent care services remotely. In this role, you will leverage telehealth technology to assess, diagnose, and manage acute medical conditions, ensuring timely and effective care for our patients for flu and cold season.

Essential Functions:

  • Function independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical examinations
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
  • Determine, plan, and initiate appropriate treatment, and adjust treatment if necessary
  • Document medical information of patients and review patient history at each visit
  • Prescribe medications
  • Evaluate response to treatments and medications
  • Request consultation or referral with other health care providers when appropriate
  • Counsel and educate patients
  • Provide preventative care
  • Manage pediatric and adult patients for both acute and chronic conditions
  • Create patient care plans and contribute to existing care plans
  • Actively maintain knowledge of current medical research and trends
  • Provide administrative support or cross-coverage for reviewing laboratory test results and prescription clarifications
  • Scheduling flexibility to include evenings and weekends

Job Requirements

  • Must have 3+ years of current experience as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care or urgent care
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current experience providing care for all ages, newborn to adult populations
  • Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license and certification.
  • Board certified – Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCC
  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner who also maintains an active RN license
  • Ability to obtain both RN and NP licensure in additional states
  • Demonstrate flexibility
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.

Licensing:

  • Must have an active NP license in at least 4-5 of these states: CA, NC, NY, MN, VA, AZ, IA, OH, WA, CO, IL. Other priority states are AR, PA, NV, NJ, WI, MI, MD, MA, UT

Pay: $45 base hourly rate + $15.75 per additional visit over minimum visits. (Minimum = 3 visits/hour)

Available Shifts:

  • Part Time: 20 hours per week; weekday shifts between 3:00 PM and 11:00 PM local time; every other weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, 8 hours per day (May have some flexibility dependent on business needs to start earlier)
  • Modified Full Time: 32 hours per week; weekday shifts between 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM or 2:00 PM and 11:00 PM local time; every other weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, 8 hours per day
  • Full Time: 40 hours per week; weekday shifts between 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM or 2:00 PM and 11:00 PM local time; every fourth weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, 8-hour shifts
  • For all contract types, exact schedules are determined based on business needs and patient volume
  • No extended time off is allowed during Thanksgiving week or from December 15 through January 5. BLACK OUT PERIOD!!!

Training: 2 days – 16 hours paid (Monday and Tuesday – 9:30am CST Start time) REQUIRED

Start Dates: October – December 2026

Contract Duration: Until March/April (contract dates will vary depending on business needs and patient flow).

Equipment: Must provide own equipment (computer/laptop)
