Root Rx is a physician-led functional health program built for high-achieving women who are exhausted, dismissed, and done settling for “your labs look normal.” We run advanced functional lab panels, build individualized root-cause protocols, and walk clients through implementation with a dedicated coaching team. Our clients are women dealing with fatigue, hormone imbalance, thyroid dysfunction, gut issues, burnout, and metabolic challenges — and they come to us because conventional medicine has not given them real answers.

We are growing fast and we need experienced clinical support to help our medical team serve our clients at the highest level. This is not a traditional clinical role. It is a forward-thinking, remote-first position inside a modern functional medicine practice that is genuinely changing lives.

The Role

We are looking for a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a strong clinical background and ideally experience in hormone optimization, peptide therapy, and functional medicine. You will work alongside our Chief Medical Officer and Head of Coaching to support our growing client base with medical consults, lab interpretation, protocol review, and clinical guidance for our coaching team.

This is a part-time or full-time independent contractor opportunity depending on your availability and our mutual fit. You set your schedule. You work remotely. You bring the clinical depth. We bring the clients, the systems, and the mission.

What You Will Do

• Conduct medical consult calls with clients for Hormone Replacement Therapy, peptide therapy, medical weight loss, and general functional medicine evaluations.
• Interpret advanced functional lab panels including bloodwork, DUTCH hormone panels, Gut Zoomers, and Hormone Zoomers.
• Review and sign off on functional health protocols built by our coaching team, ensuring clinical accuracy and safety.
• Answer clinical questions from coaches in our team Slack channel, helping elevate the clinical quality of our entire team.
• Collaborate with our Chief Medical Officer on protocol standards, formulary updates, and clinical edge cases.
• Conduct quarterly check-in calls for Longevity Protocol clients as needed.
• Contribute to building the clinical infrastructure of a scaling functional medicine practice.

What We Are Looking For

Required:

• Active NP or PA licensure in at least one U.S. state.
• Strong clinical background with experience in women’s health, hormone optimization, or integrative medicine.
• Comfort interpreting advanced functional labs beyond standard reference ranges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication — you will be working with high-achieving clients who ask smart questions.
• Reliable internet connection and a professional remote work setup.

Strongly Preferred:

• Experience prescribing or managing HRT and/or peptide therapy.
• Functional medicine training or certification (IFM, IOH, A4M, or equivalent).
• Experience in a coaching or wellness-adjacent clinical environment.
• Familiarity with root-cause clinical frameworks and advanced lab panels.

Compensation and Structure

Independent contractor engagement. Part-time or full-time opportunities available. Competitive compensation commensurate with experience. Performance-based bonuses available. Fully remote — work from anywhere in the U.S.
